Key features of the service
Extensive consultancy support for school and academy’s leadership teams and governors is provided by a named HR consultant. Consultancy support can be provided on-site or remotely on a wide range of complex issues. Duty consultants are also available to provide telephone or email support for more routine enquiries. The core service gives full access to a wide range of HR web resources which include procedural and good practice guidance and model letters, forms and policies. As part of this service, our consultants will support the academy in the following key HR areas:
• Strategic HR planning
• Conduct and discipline, performance management and capability
• Absence management
• Appointment of staff, pay and terms and conditions of employment
• Grievances and disputes
• Management of change including redundancy (with an additional 6 hours consultancy per establishment for specific support in this area)
• Advice and interpretation of employment legislation and case law pertaining to the education sector; employment tribunal support in collaboration with the academy’s legal provider
