English as an Additional Language

Support for pupils learning with English as an additional language (EAL)

The English as an Additional Language (EAL) advisory team provides online resources and an advice and guidance helpdesk available to maintained and non-maintained schools in Worcestershire.

Pupils learning English as an additional language have a different learning experience because they are learning in another language, and because they may come from cultural backgrounds and communities that have different understandings and expectations of education, language and learning.

The EAL team can support schools and setting to tailor curriculum delivery for their learners with English as an additional language.
