Time to Talk Day 2020

With 1 in 4 of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year, there has never been a better tim eto start a conversation with someone and make a connection.

Social relationships are critical for promoting wellbeing and for acting as a buffer against mental ill health.

We can all make a huge difference by simply talking to one person, the impact this could have can change lives.

With this in mind we held a chatter and natter social event at Babcock Prime to raise awareness of Time to Talk Day 2020

Staff were encouraged to talk to someone instead of sending and email and invited to come along to a social gathering to meet and connect with colleagues.

Feeling close to, and valued by other people is a fundamental human need and one that contributes to functioning well.

It only takes a few minutes to:

  1. Check in with someone ask how they really
  2. Listen to what they say
